The lodge sits on approximately 316 acres of prime whitetail deer habitat and the property itself is the highest elevated point in Illinois. There is 100 acres of tillable ground and 216 acres of heavy mature timber, deep hollows some running ½ mile deep, surrounded by 1000’s of acres of heavy timbered draws, thick bedding and designated sanctuaries helping to draw and hold record class deer on the property throughout the entire hunting season. Our food plots give our limited hunters an excellent opportunity to continuously see and harvest trophy deer. The management practice and property layout has led to the properties reputation of being the lowest pressured and one of the best hunting in Calhoun Co. Illinois. We take only 25 hunters per year on this property and the properties geographic layout if flat would almost make up 800 acres. This is an outstanding chance for any hunter who wants to see and harvest BIG BUCKS.

    We only book hunts during the premium weeks at our executive lodge, two weeks of rut, two shotguns and the muzzle loading season. No hunters are on the property before the first week of rut. We set up 5 to 7 tree stands per hunter due to crop rotation and wind direction. All tree stands are new Gorilla King Kong’s, Gorilla Expeditions and Ameristeps brand new skyscraper stands. We strategically place stands on travel routes to and from the bedding areas, over food plots inside the timber and down in the hollows.

  After the hunt, there are several different riverboat casinos within 20 miles of the lodge or visit the new Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop in St. Louis, Missouri.
